James W. Bell

A grave I visited in Lincoln, New Mexico. James W. Bell was a deputy sheriff who was killed by Billy the Kid as he was escaping Lincoln after being charged with killing another sheriff, William Brady. I thought it was an interesting sight to see, so I took a pic.
But I felt kinda guilty after learning his history, because "I Shot the Sheriff" from Bob Marley (and Eric Clapton) immediately came into my mind and it didn't seem like the most appropriate thing to think about at the time.
